We have a very accurate model which calculates the carbon sequestration rates for native Irish trees over their lifetime and we use this to ensure we can offset your carbon emissions using the right number of trees based on your personal or corporate carbon emissions.
For organisations we use your flight data, business mileage and office heating and electricity costs to calculate the annual carbon emissions and determine how many trees need to be planted annually to become carbon neutral.
For personal use we are working on a calculator app for use on our site and mobile devices so in the meantime you can use the excellent WWF footprint calculator (Our store has the basic carbon calculation figures linked to the number of trees required):
